Celeste Goldes is an NYC-based performing artist and creative. Celeste is creating a surreal and immersive body of choreographic works that investigate and challenge both the existential and simplest of questions. Through her work, she empowers both performers and witnesses alike to say “yes” to their impulses, in the hopes of fostering a space of acceptance and understanding for both the self and others. Celeste never underestimates the power of laughter and the freedom of play, and her undoubtedly profound body of work aims to be pleasurable yet provocative to experience. She hopes you feel empowered by the amalgamation of sensations evoked.
At New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Celeste has uniquely cultivated her dancing, choreography, acting, and comedic voice, and will receive her BFA in dance this Spring. Celeste was chosen this past Summer to study at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Salzburg, Austria. In the Fall of 2023, Celeste had the opportunity to perform in French choreographer, Ashley Chen's, piece "Distances" at the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in NYC.
